You & Yourself

In the world we live in, it’s very easy to lose ourselves in irrelevant patterns that only create unnecessary stresses that eventually take a toll on us. It only takes focusing into something for that something to focus back on you and generate all sorts of never-ending reactions that saturate us and then our higher self wants to tell us ‘hey! stop it!’, occasionally through dreams or signs. Dreams can tell us a lot about who we are and the steps we need to follow, because when we dream we live our ego behind, it’s the rawest version of us at play. If we don’t pay attention, it will make us stop in a more dramatic (often unwanted and unexpected) way. That is, if your call is to be in this world to wake up and wake others up, quite common amongst creative people. Some will never get that call, and that’s okay. Feel privileged.

When we are born – pure, from source – we are thrown into a matrix full of patterns that ‘compress’ our infinite nature, there is too much ‘code’ fusing through our sensitive body (social, familiar, historic, etc.)… and so what may seem progress in this world (getting a better job, buying a bigger house, getting the best marks, winning all the prizes, finding the perfect partner) is in fact regression to our happiness in life. Don’t misunderstand me, those are all good things when they serve a higher purpose (for example: building your idea of the perfect body for an optimal health/well-being personal status, buying your idea of a better house for personal comfort and space, etc), but they take us away from ourselves when we focus on the “possession-for-the-sake-of-it” part (specially when it’s not your idea, but a socially imposed one), and very often we would be happier choosing simpler unconventional options. These “possessions” are a fake proof of our ‘self-value’ in this system, they are all lies (viruses, as I’ll explain later). One should have self-esteem and high value just because of BEING. Relying on your money-making skills, your capacity to sustain an ‘appropriate’ (not necessarily ‘healthy’ or what you need) relationship for a long time, your ability to make others happy, etc. eventually may fail, you thought you were someone / you had something and now… nada. What remains is YOU.

Looking for our higher, better self and acting accordingly, keeps us healthy and clean, it is motivation enough to live (so much to do/learn!), and it gives us awareness that others are also you… whatever you do to yourself you are doing to others in the realm of consciousness because we are all connected… and that’s why we need each others, to grow towards improving ourselves, towards enlightenment.

“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the Darkness conscious. The latter procedure, however, is disagreeable, and therefore, not popular.” – Carl Jung

Now back to those ‘lies’ we believe we think we are. Psychic Viruses. The Native Americans call it Wetiko: “a collective psychosis, supported and fed by the internal logic, self-consistency, seeming coherence and spell-binding power of the mechanistic and deterministic worldview of classical Newtonian physics”. More about this fascinating key concept here:

Media influencers are some of the big generators of this “psychic viruses” (and governments and corporations, but I won’t go there now), it could be something as simple as a video going viral about any nonsense, it’s all it takes to create a pattern socially accepted, and if you disagree with it, then you are an outcast. These viruses spread rapidly, infecting people’s mind. Yours and mine. And we are full of them. These patterns we have collectively created, that take us away from who we are, are the biggest poison to our personal growth. Examples of psychic viruses: the compulsory consumption of goods we don’t really need, having to hide our darkest side so we don’t look ‘bad’ in front of others (and this includes lots of things), changing our perception of what’s good and bad, etc… thousands of them, that can take different forms and levels of intensity.

“So long as the root of wickedness is hidden, it is strong. But when it is recognized, it is dissolved.” – The Gnostic Gospel of Philip

All these viruses make us “objects”, they take away our soul, our real “we”. Where’s the soul in that? your consciousness? do you know who you are when you are so loaded with different viruses? Work on yourself from the inside. Find your shadows, your fears, confront them, accept them. And then allow them to pop in from time to time until they dissolve… try not to get frustrated and be patient. Accept the people who come into your life at the right time because they serve a purpose in your growth, accept the downfalls and integrate them so you can move forwards… if you block/deny/ignore… they will come back in ways you wouldn’t want to. It’s the law of things.

Note: Let me give you this final piece of advice for you and also a reminder to myself. As a singer/creative, you are sensitive to this. You always felt something was off and you were different. It’s fine. It’s all awesome, you have a responsibility. A purpose. I have said it in many of my previous articles and each time I see it and feel it more and more: keep spreading your message of truth through voice and music. When the world goes against, you keep pushing forwards. It’s your mission and your only way. Smile😊
